In short: AhCrop is free to use. Your files stay yours and stay on your device. Our safe zones are careful guidance, not a guarantee from TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, so check important work against each platform’s own specs.
About these terms
AhCrop (ahcrop.com) is run by Cormac Moore, an individual based in Ireland (“we”, “us”). By using AhCrop you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Using AhCrop
AhCrop lets you preview a video or image inside replicas of social media placements to see what platform interfaces might cover or crop. It’s free, and you don’t need an account.
Your content
Everything you load stays on your device and remains yours. You’re responsible for having the rights to the material you load and to anything you export. You may use your exported images however you like.
Accuracy
Safe zones are based on published platform guidance where it exists, and on careful estimates and measurements where it doesn’t. Each placement shows its source and when it was last checked. Platforms change their apps often and without notice, and layouts vary by device, so AhCrop is a guide, not a guarantee. You’re responsible for checking final work against the platform’s current specifications before publishing or launching paid media.
Not affiliated
AhCrop is independent. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance, Meta, Instagram or Facebook. Their names and interfaces belong to their owners and appear only to show how your content will look.
Fair use of the service
Please don’t try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to AhCrop or its hosting, or use it to break the law. Found a security issue? Email hello@ahcrop.com; see security.txt.
Our rights
The AhCrop name, design and software belong to us. These terms don’t give you rights to them beyond using the site as intended.
Liability
AhCrop is provided free, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties about it and aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from relying on a safe zone, such as the cost of re-editing or re-running a campaign. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or removes rights you have as a consumer.
Changes and availability
We may change or stop AhCrop at any time. If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use AhCrop after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring proceedings there.
